Was serving aboard the destroyer USS Arizona December 7th 1941 and survived the attack at Pearl Harbor.
After being released from the Naval Hospital from his injuries, he was assigned to serve aboard the Cruiser Ship the USS New Orleans.
He was Killed serving on that ship November 11th, 1942 during a Japanese attack.
